Debbie Gallagher
The younger of the Gallagher girls, Debbie is quick to grow emotionally attached to those she is unable to hold close to her in reality. She feels close to her father, though the rest of the family has given up hope in his returning to the actual paternal role in their household. She has a doll named 'Gin-Gin' after they gave their "Aunt Ginger" back to the nursing home that she is extremely close to, believing (to some extent) that it is a real child. She likes to bake and hang out with Fiona and Veronica as much as she can; showing all the signs of a child that needs their mother, though their mother left them years ago.
Fiona Gallagher
Fiona is the mother-figure of the family, often referring to her siblings as her own children. She believes that the only thing she has in life is working, paying the bills and playing head of the household- refusing to give in to the freedom she could have if only she would give herself that chance. She feels attached to Steve but does not like to give in to his charitable ways so that she doesn't feel he is taking over her spot as the bread-winner for their family.
Karen Jackson
The seductive yet sweet daughter of Sheila and Eddie Jackson; though she considers 'Daddy Frank' as more of a father to her than her actual birth father. She is apparently Lip's closest girl friend, though she won't label herself as anyone's actual 'girlfriend' due to the active sex life she has. She is proud of the work she does in school and, though she feels a slight disappointment for the fact that her mother can't always be there for her, she knows that she must stand strong in moments of doubt so that her mother doesn't feel pressured or her disappointment.
Mandy Milkovich
Youngest of the Milkovich family and Ian's "girlfriend" at school and at home so that he can keep his homosexuality a secret. She is overly protected by her brothers, mainly Mickey, though only uses that fact when it can be to her advantage; something that has led to her current situation with Ian. She isn't as bad as her reputation makes her seem, though she doesn't mind playing into it if it'll help her case in any way. Mandy can be very self-centered, encouraged only by Ian needing her help and Mickey's closeness and loyalty to the family.
Sheila Jackson
The agoraphobic neighbor to the Gallagher family. She never leaves the house and has only recently been getting better about shoes being left on in the house. Normally they are to be taken off and left in plastic bags (or on the outside steps) before she lets anyone in the house. She is an extremely maternal character in the show, offering to care for Liam Gallagher at any time. While being stuck at home, she has gained a slight craving for interaction and is grateful to Frank for living with them so that she has some sort of connection with the outside world. She is doing her best to break out of her agoraphobia, though Eddie constantly shuts down her efforts.
Veronica Fisher"-Ball"
Best friend and confidant to Fiona Gallagher. She is fake-married to Kevin "Kev" Ball and is a very strong and opinionated woman. Though she is extremely independent, she knows how to take help from others and lends her own advice and expertise in the medical field whenever possible. She is very open, experimental and difficult to embarrass, no matter who she is around at the time. Though she's always there for the whole Gallagher family, she feels a strong closeness to Ian. Veronica has her own webcast that brings money into the house; one where she merely does housework topless. Also, much to Kev's dismay, she lends anything she can to Fiona for her family's use when they need something- even if it puts her and Kev at a loss.
